Gold marks to be the first association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.

Makers of Gold surely hyped up our buzz with the amazing first poster and revealing the plot-line of the film, now they are all set to come up with its first teaser. The teaser of the film will be unveiled on Monday, 5th February.

Staying true to the genre of the film, the newly announced film is to release on Independence Day, 2018.

Gold, backed by Excel Entertainment and directed by Reema Kagti, is about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the 14th Olympic Games at London. It will release on Independence Day, 2018.

In sync with the theme, the poster features Akshay’s side profile caught in a golden circle. It is superimposed on the iconic Olympic rings and XIV Olympiad London 1948.

The tagline reads: The Dream That United A Nation, and behind the film’s title is a sprawling stadium. Gold will also introduce actress Mouni Roy into Bollywood.
