Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. Ever since all eyes have been on his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. While the actress received a lot of support from friends, many have been blaming her for the unfortunate incident. Things got worse when Sushant’s father KK Singh lodged a 6-page FIR accusing her of abetting his suicide.
Today during the Supreme Court hearing, we saw Rhea being denied the demand for a protective order. With the case now finally being transferred to the CBI, things will gradually pick the required pace. However, rumours are rife that Chakraborty has been absconding.
It was just a while ago when Bihar DGP claimed that Rhea Chakraborty is not in touch with them. The officer, Gupteshwar Pandey furthermore stated that even Mumbai Police now has no idea about her whereabouts. Now, the Jalebi actress’ lawyer Satish Maneshinde has rubbished all these claims.
In an exclusive conversation with Koimoi, Satish Maneshinde provided ample proofs about Rhea Chakraborty being in the city ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. When asked about the rumours, the lawyer began, “Send me proof of Mumbai police saying so.”
Giving a detailed clarification about Rhea’s whereabouts, he shared:
“1. Rhea Chakraborty has always been living in Mumbai. She was even in Mumbai on 14th June 2020. But she was not allowed to attend Sushant Singh’s funeral as her name was struck off from the list of 20.
2. She was summoned by Mumbai Police on 18th of June, 2020 at Bandra Police Station. Her statement was recorded there. Subsequently, she was summoned to appear on 17th July 2020 at Santacruz Police station. She appeared and recorded her supplementary statement.
3. Later on when the Bihar Police came to Mumbai to investigate a case on the basis of an FIR registered at Patna. Rhea approached the Supreme Court and filed a Transfer Petition on 30th July 2020 for transfer of the case to Mumbai.”
Furthermore, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer even questioned Bihar DGP’s latest statement. He said, “Bihar police has transferred the case to CBI. How is DGP Bihar concerned?”
