Who can probably miss out spotting the cute little, cuddly Shahid Kapoor in the Music Video Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra by Aryans, who can forget the rubber-bodied man as a background dancer draping Aishwarya Rai in the song Kahi Aag Lage from the flick Taal, who can let go of the image of sexy yet cute, college boy Rajiv Mathur. Shahid, not only great in terms of looks, but in terms of acting and his array of roles, has grown up and matured a long way as an actor too since his debut.

He divulged into the tinsel town as a young and super cute college boy, Rajiv Mathur and collected kudos from one and all instantly. He who not only had the looks but in addition flaunted the moves which had the ability to swoon the ladies and the prowess is still on strong.

Shasha tried his hands at a variety of roles- from being the passionate, innocent Jai Malhotra pushed into crime in Fida; the good-hearted Nikhil with his heart up his sleeve in Dil Maange More; the determined Jaidev Vardhan in Shikhar; quirky and adorable Jeetu Prasad Sharma in Chup Chup Ke; the committed and completely loyal Prem of Vivah; saddened at first then filled with life industrialist Aditya Kashyap of Jab We Met; believer in luck Raj Malhotra in Kismet Konnection; to the reprisal of Charlie and Guddu in Kaminey; Chance Pe Dance’s struggling actor Sameer Behl; aiming for the sky and goal-achiever Karan Kapur of Badmaash Company; rustic gone macho Harinder Singh of Mausam; to the badnaam shayar Javed, charmer Govind and super-stud yet loaded with cuteness Krish of Teri Meri Kahaani.

Shahid has been there done that. He has a huge multitude of roles to his names, and with all that he has always garnered rave responses and appreciations from the critics. Even if all his films were not always commercially successful at the box-office, Shahid as an actor always shined above the flicks. He has the charisma and the fortitude to infuse life into his characters. And that is what makes us all love him even more.

Over the span he has learnt the golden rule from his father Pankaj Kapur; who is the ultimate school of acting himself; that the less is more. Overdoing is not acting. And Shahid keeps the lesson learnt very well in mind.

The amorous and salacious star who has just wrapped up with the three month shooting schedule of his next, Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero, is busy shooting for Prabhu Deva’s Rambo RajKumar. Shahid has another flick up his sleeve this year which is Bejoy Nambiar’s Untitled Next.

This year we see Shasha keeping his birthday celebrations low-toned and quiet unlike his last birthday which was a gala affair, involving massive amounts of partying and celebrations in Goa. Hence for his 32nd birthday Shahid is worked up with shooting and more focused on his films and career.

So here’s wishing super-cute boy gone aphrodisiac and jaw-dropping sexo Shahid Kapoor a very Happy Birthday! We wish he continues to age with grace and keeps us all entertained and wanting and loving him more and more.
