It’s a remarkable day for Indians, as country’s Chandrayaan 2, the second lunar exploration mission was launched successfully just a while ago. Weighing about 3,850 kg, Chandrayaan 2 is a spacecraft comprising of an orbiter, lander and rover, which will explore unchartered lunar south pole. Developed by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), it took off from Sriharikota Space Centre in GSLV Mk III and will take 48 days to land on Moon.
Overwhelmed by the launch, dignitaries like Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their proud feeling, while celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and others too, congratulated ISRO for the achievement.
Efforts such as #Chandrayaan2 will further encourage our bright youngsters towards science, top quality research and innovation.
