But Shahid Kapoor’s closest friends, people who have been around him during his highs and lows, were part of all ceremonies. As part of his baraat, producers Madhu Mantena and Mubina Rattonsey danced with the groom throughout the half kilometer long driveway. Choreographer Bosco & designer Kunal Rawal kept the energetic groom company. Designer Masaba Gupta, Madhu’s wife, also attended the wedding.
Shahid Kapoor put on his dancing shoes before the wedding ceremony, grooving to hits from his films. A simple Anand Karaj Sikh ceremony commenced the marriage.
Playing the role of hosts here were Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapoor, and mother Neelima Azim. Pankaj’s second wife Supriya Pathak & her daughter Sanaa greeted guests and Shahid’s half brothers Ishaan (Neelima’s son) and Ruhaan (Pankaj’s son) were also present at all events. Ishaan has assisted Abhishek Chaubey on Shahid’s forthcoming drug movie ‘Udta Punjab’. Actor Manoj Peshwa, friend of Pankaj Kapur, also attended the event.
After the reception, Shahid and his buddies had planned an after party; but the paparazzi were strictly kept out.
