A wave of anger and frustration spread across the country after the incident of rape and brutal killing of Dr. Priyanka Reddy. But today, as soon as the news of encounter of those accused broke in, the celebrations started taking place all around the country and the views from various sections of the society started pouring in. Actress Shilpa Shetty expressed her concern over women’s security in India and tagged PM Narendra Modi.
While the whole country is hailing the act by the police, Shilpa Shetty posted a series of tweets in which she expressed her concern over the security of women and also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the laws stricter against for the crimes like rapes and harassment against women.
Shilpa Shetty wrote, “The position of women in our country is in dire straits… it has been so for a while now. Stepping out every day has become an ordeal for most, one that is unavoidable. @narendramodi”
