Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most awaited films of the year. Salman’s last film, Kick was a brilliant success and its music too had a huge contribution to it. This time Pritam took the mantle of composing Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s music and the entire album has been out now. Here’s a quick music review on it!

Selfie Le Le

The Selfie song was out even before the trailer of the film. Clearly, the makers were confident that it would gain popularity soon and well, it did. The lively song is an upbeat number and harping on the concept of ‘selfies’, the song’s lyrics ‘Chal beta selfie le le’ were bound to find instant connect with the selfie-crazy youth. The high paced beats of the song make it a complete dance number. Just like Jumme Ki Raat, this has already become a club number.

Tu Chahiye

Romantic songs are always at the risk of getting repetitive since they are more often than not expected to be soft and lyrically soothing. After the recent success of Jeena Jeena from Badlapur, Atif Aslam’s Tu Chahiye is the romantic number from Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The song did not turn out be much impressive since it is more like a been there-heard that kind of a number.

Bhar Do Jholi Meri

Considering that Bajrangi Bhaijaan is releasing on Eid, the film had to have one song that is a Sufi/Qawwali number. Bhar Do Jholi Meri, sung by Adnan Sami is a devotional number that will draw its listeners thanks to its lyrics. The combination of Salman and Qawwali is definitely going to be a hit on-screen too.

Aaj Ki Party

Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraf Se is all set to become the Eid song of the year. The Mika Singh number is foot-tapping and gets its energy from the singer. Mika croons it with full gusto and it is of course a treat to watch the video thanks to Salman Khan’s moves. But, the song has a seasonal appeal and it will not enjoy longevity. In fact, one cannot enjoy this song on loop and hence it will soon lose luster.

Chicken Song

The Chicken Song may sound yummy the moment you say it, but it’s not the same when you hear it. With peppy tunes that resemble the Goan musical arrangements, the song lyrics are all about the food. It’s a cheesy chicken song. Mohit Chauhan croons it and since it is his quality to make every song he sings sound so saccharine like, you want to give it a hear once at least. Hopefully the video will be a better treat to see than its audio version.

Zindagi

Zubin Nautiyal is an amazing singer and after gems like Ek Mulaqat, the singer returns with Zindagi in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The song is a slow-paced track with beautiful lyrics. Pritam seems to have worked on situational numbers this time, since the song has a different feel and hence probably they don’t create a blended impression. This one seems to be the sad song that would play in the background for a crucial scene.
