Hollywood films have grabbed good amount of fan following in the Indian market. So much so that they are now giving stiff competition to Bollywood movies, making them run for their money. In 2015, for the first time in history of Hindi cinema, we saw the dubbed version of 2 Hollywood movies’ Furious 7 and Jurassic World scoring 100 crores solely in India and Baahubali became the first regional (Hindi dubbed) film to collect over 100 crores.

Furious 7

This 7th Installment of ‘Fast And Furious‘ series received excellent opening in India. The great fan following of this franchise with the brilliant stars like Vin Diesel, Late Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in it, Furious 7 had all the elements to become a great success and as a result it collected 110 crores in India. Being the last movie of Late Paul Walker who made the character of Brian O’Conner immortal, ‘Furious 7’ was dedicated to him.

Jurassic World

This 4th Installment of ‘Jurassic Park‘ series was highly anticipated in India as well as in international markets. This science-fiction adventure flick also featured Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan in a key role. The film had a record breaking opening weekend of $500 million worldwide. The breathtaking visual effects and the great direction was loved by the audiences. It collected 101 crore in India and became the 2nd Hollywood flick after Furious 7 to enter the 100 crore club.

Baahubali

This epic historical fiction flick was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and was dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and French. ‘Baahubali‘ was the most expensive Indian film which was lauded for his visual effects, story-telling and grand sets along with the star performances. This movie became the highest grossing Indian movie within India and the third highest Indian film globally. The Hindi version of this film collected 117 crores, which is highest for any dubbed film in India.
