The New Mutants Box Office: X-Men’s Fresh Installment Does Fairly Well Amid Pandemic

The New Mutants have been in the news for a long time. The fresh installment of X-Men series got postponed multiple times but finally released in the USA on August 28.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, The New Mutants hasn’t been able to get a huge release. However, it still managed to save some grace at the worldwide box office with fair numbers.

According to Box Office Mojo, the film has done a worldwide business of $9.9 million. The Josh Boone directorial has collected $7 million from 2,412 theaters in the US and has got $2.9 million from its release in other markets.

On the day of its release in the USA, The New Mutants did a business of $3.1 million. The collections dropped on Saturday and the number was $2.45 million. On Sunday, it earned $1.45 million.

The action, horror and sci-fi film stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt & Henry Zaga in lead.

Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet is all set to release in the US in the upcoming weekend. The film has already opened in 41 international territories and has taken an opening of $53 million. The opening in the UK has been best as $7.1 million have come in. France & Germany follow with the business of $6.7 million and $4.2 million respectively.
