One new film – Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides – made it to the Top 5 chart at the North American box-office during the May 20-22 weekend. It debuted at the top spot with a take of US $90.2 million.
Universal’s Bridesmaids stayed put at no. 2. It added $20.9 million to its kitty in its second weekend, taking its 10-day total to $59.3 million. Paramount’s Thor fell two places to come in third. In its third weekend, it grossed $15.5 million so that its 17-day total went up to $145.4 million.
Universal’s Fast Five dropped to no. 4. Falling one step in its fourth weekend, the action flick added $10.6 million to its kitty to take its 24-day total to $186.2 million.
Screen Gems’ Priest also fell one place to round off the Top 5 chart. It collected $4.8 million in its second weekend to take its total for 10 days to $23.8 million.
