Join UsIt has happened! In just 17 days, Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi has entered the 100 Crore Club. Really, not many would have bet on the film to emerge such a huge success. After all, it doesn’t quite happen every week when a film opens with 7.53 crore on the first day and then races its way to hit a century no less.
Yes, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety had done that in the recent times by crossing 100 crore mark even as it opened to a lesser number of 6.42 crore. However, that was a comedy and a family entertainer at that. In contrast, Raazi is a realistic spy drama and for such a film to achieve a huge milestone is a major accomplishment by all means.
The film had good hold during the third weekend as well despite the fact that Parmanu – The Pokhran Story was doing well and there were two major IPL matches on Friday and Sunday. It scored 10.87 crore more and with this the overall score now stands at 102.50 crore. By the look of things, the Meghna Gulzar directed film is moving well towards the 115 crore mark before it ends its theatrical run.

Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures have scored a Blockbuster success here and they could well be thanking their stars that Raazi turned out to be a much bigger money-spinner than even they would have imagined in the first place. Everyone benefits from a successful film and now it has to be seen how does the team capitalizes on this one.
