Join UsLara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi have tied the knot! The lovely couple registered their marriage in Mumbai on the 16th of February in a private civil ceremony.
Mahesh Bhupathi announced their union on Twitter.com with a jubilant, “Mr. and Mrs Bhupathi folks…” and posted a picture of the newly weds. The ceremony was attended only by Mahesh and Lara’s family and friends at Mahesh’s Bandra residence.
The couple did not invite the media, but preferred to post to their pictures for all to see on the social networking site. Though Lara and Mahesh have been seeing each other for a long time, they surprised everyone with their engagement in September last year.
Though their wedding might have been a quiet affair, the glam couple have planned a dance-filled sangeet for tomorrow and will leave for Goa tonight for their church wedding on the 19th.For the wedding, the former Miss Universe went for a cream-coloured Ritu Kumar sari while Mahesh chose a khaki suit.
After the wedding, life continued as usual for the new groom. After posing in his khaki suit, the Grand Slam winner went back to his routine tennis practise! What does Lara have to say about that?
