The film is a biopic on the Indian farmer who was convicted in a Pakistan court as a terrorist. In spite of the new releases taking a low start, Sarbjit did not show any significant difference.
It received a lot of praises from the critics for the performances of the lead cast but due to its genre, there are not many takers for the film in theaters.
