Join UsKi And Ka has collected 8.24 crore in its second weekend. With this, the film has now managed 45.81 crore in just 10 days flat. For a film which would have been happy to have this as a lifetime score, these are good signs indeed!
What makes the film’s success further special is the fact that this is now Kareena Kapoor Khan’s highest grosser till date, where she is a senior actress. The film has gone past the lifetime total of other starrers like Heroine [44.25 crore] and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu [40 crore].
Moreover, for director Balki too this is huge as the film has collected more than his other releases – Cheeni Kum [17.3 crore], Paa [30 crore] and Shamitabh [22 crore]. Also, he has been able to bounce back after the flop show of Shamitabh.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor has added on to his tally of hits. Ki And Ka has gone past Tevar [41 crore] and would cross Ishaqzaade [48 crore] too during the course of the week. Ki And Ka is now set to be his third highest grosser till date after 2 States [102 crore] and Gunday [76.55 crore].
As for Eros, after this success under its belt, it now moves on to its next multiplex release Nil Battey Sannaata [starring Swara Bhaskar] which is carrying some good reports already. As a concept based film, it could spring a pleasant surprise on 22nd April.
