The film remained steady on the third weekend as it collected 60 lacs on Friday, 70 lacs on Saturday and 90 lacs on Sunday, thus taking its total to 94.87 crores at the domestic box office.
The film is now just a few lacs away from beating Baby‘s lifetime box office collections. The irony here is that Welcome Back‘s prequel starred Akshay Kumar and now the sequel is performing much better than its original film. If that was any less, it will soon beat Akshay’s film, Baby‘s collections.
Welcome Back is currently the fifth highest grosser of the year. Starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar in key roles, the film managed to impress the audiences with its comic genre.
