Holiday Opens To An Average Occupancy On Day 1 At The Box Office

Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty opened to an average occupancy in the morning shows at the Domestic Box Office. The film starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles was a much-awaited release post IPL season. It had better responses in multiplexes over single screens and opened to a 35-40% occupancy for the morning shows.

Considering that it was big release post the IPL season, there were more expectations from Holiday. Last year, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which released during the same phase saw an excellent occupancy. The Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer had a 80-90% occupancy for the morning shows but unfortunately Holiday could not live up to its hype and secure such great numbers, so far.

But you never know! The film has ample of chances to pick up in the afternoon and evening shows. Also being an hardcore action drama with Akshay Kumar in lead, the film will surely pick up in the weekend as well. It’s an audience puller, undoubtedly, and a positive word of mouth publicity will help the film boost its collections.
