Karan Johar’s Newcomers All Set To Give Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana Competition
‘When it rains it pours’ – the adage couldn’t have been more true for Bollywood which is suddenly seeing a sudden flux in male newcomers who are vying for attention from all involved. Since Karan Johar has huge plans up his sleeve for introducing the debutant leads of his Student Of The Year, it is only making the road tougher for Arjun Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana who have otherwise emerged as the most promising newcomers of the year so far.
“Karan has huge faith in both Siddharth Malhotra & Varun Dhawan and if you haven’t heard much about them for an entire year gone by, it is with a reason,” says a source, “Karan intends to unleash them at just the right time and there is a definite strategy that has already been put in place. They aren’t seen making any public appearances or other social dos because the idea is to keep a suspense element around them. Siddharth as well as Varun are tremendous talents and with their arrival, the playground is only going to get all the more crowded since Arjun as well as Ayushmann are toast of the town already.”
“However if you thought that competition was only between them when it came to walking up the aisle to collect that ‘Best Debutant’ trophy, wait for Karan’s film first. He has three aces up his sleeves in the form of three newcomers that he is launching with Student Of The Year,” says a veteran filmmaker, “2012 would go down as ‘Newcomer’s battle of the Year”.
