Actors Sumeet Vyas and Ekta Kaul welcomed their first child during the ongoing lockdown. The first time parents, who were blessed with their little munchkin on June 4, have named him Ved. Now, over a month later, The Permanent Roommates actor and his wife took to social media and shared a picture of their son. The image shows baby Ved enjoying a nap on his mummy’s shoulder.
Ekta captioned her picture writing: ‘Being a mother isn’t an easy job but it’s definitely the best job one could ever have.. And there’s no greater honour, love, and blessing. #maahood #merabeta #ved’
Sumeet Vyas, too, shared the same picture with the caption: ‘Mama’s boy… 😏 #ved #vedvyas’
A few days ago, Sumeet Vyas had also shared a video of Ekta trying to calm Ved by making weird noises. He called it ‘Rustic parenting’.
Recently, while talking to Mumbai Mirror, Vyas shared how he decided to name his son Ved. He said, “Long ago, one of our relatives was having a child and we were discussing names when Ved came up and stayed with me. I decided if I have a boy, I’ll name him Ved. Since we come from the line of Ved Vyas, it makes sense.”
In an interview with Hindustan Times last month, Sumeet Vyas acknowledged that he was enjoying fatherhood to the hilt. Said the TVF Tripling actor, “So far, it has been good and lovely. My wife Ekta and I are discovering something new every day. I’m still quite clueless and so is she. We don’t know what the baby really wants when he cries.”
For the unversed, Sumeet rose to fame with Permanent Roommates and TVF Tripling. He has also featured in films like as English Vinglish, Veere Di Wedding, and Made In China. Ekta, is a television actor known for her roles in Rab Se Sohna Isshq, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, and Mere Angne Mein.
