Samir Sharma Death: Co-Star Geetanjali Tikekar Says, “He Had This Tendency Of Randomly Being Out Of Touch”

The television industry is under a huge shock after popular actor Samir Sharma was found dead at his Malad residence on 6th August, Wednesday. The cops found his body hanging from the ceiling of his kitchen fan.
The actor, who has worked in serials like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and even films, did not leave behind any suicide note. His co-stars from films and television shows are deeply saddened by this loss.
According to reports in Etimes TV, some of his co-stars have expressed their grief on the 44-year-old actor’s demise.
Shrenu Parikh worked with Samir Sharma in the show, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir for two years. Recalling the experience working with him and describing him as a person, Shrenu said that he was a “gem.”
She further added, “He was a very creative person and would crack intelligent jokes. I don’t know what pushed him towards it and what went wrong with him. I just really wish he did not take this step. It is so disheartening and heartbreaking. He was a gem of a person and very talented. I did not know what was happening in his life. I just hope he rests in peace.”
Pooja Joshi aka Varsha from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was seen in its spin-off show, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke with the late Samir Sharma. She played the role of his character Shaurya Maheshwari’s wife. Pooja said that she went numb after learning about his death. She recalls speaking to him just a few days before the actor’s death.
Geetanjali Tikekar had also worked with Samir in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. According to reports, she couldn’t hold back her tears and spoke about the memories and the time she spent with her friend ‘Sam.’ The actress said, “Sam had this tendency of randomly being out of touch and we knew he would either be travelling or will be on any road trip. We didn’t really notice much.”
