Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest releases of 2024. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani. It’s a dystopian sci-fi thriller helmed by Nag Ashwin. For the past few weeks, there has been speculation that Kalki 2898 AD might be delayed. The film’s official release date is May 9, 2924. However, due to elections happening in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh around the same time, reports started going around that Prabhas’ movie might be postponed. A new update mentions that the makers are still confused about which date to choose, and discussions are still going on.

As reported by OTT Play, earlier reports stated that the film’s production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, was initially planning a May 30, 2024 release date. However, that’s not happening anymore. The makers of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s film are still discussing a new release date with various distributors.

The report also mentions that Nag Ashwin’s movie might also release in the last quarter of 2024. If that’s the case, then fans will have to wait a lot longer to watch the Baahubali actor on the big screen. But between May 30 and the last quarter of 2024 rumour, we wonder what final decision the producers will take.
If a new release date is finalised, Kalki 2898 AD makers will definitely make an official announcement. So, all we can do is wait as we’re just a month away from the film’s May 9 release date. Hopefully, there will be a clear update soon!
