After a bummer at Wrestlemania 36, Randy Orton and Edge gifted the WWE arena, a much-deserved match in the form of ‘Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ at Backlash. Although the contest was a highly entertaining affair, the Rated R superstar suffered some serious injuries.
Reportedly, Randy Orton and Edge were supposed to face each other for the third time since Wrestlemania 36 at Summerslam. Unfortunately, torn tricep of Edge has put a full stop to all the plans. But seems like Edge’s injury has proved to be a blessing in disguise for Randy, as the company has already shortlisted a great opponent in the form of Drew McIntyre.
Yes, you read that right! As per the reports flowing in, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton might face each other for WWE Championship at Summerslam. Also, in Drew’s case, the company was looking for a renowned performer to challenge for the gold. And who better than Viper, isn’t it?
There are also strong reports stating that Brock Lesnar might make a return at Summerslam.
Meanwhile, recently Keith Lee penned his name in records book as the first-ever double champion in the history of NXT. He defeated Adam Cole and grabbed the gold.
