Robert Downey Jr, one of the biggest Hollywood stars, added another feather to his achievement by winning his first Academy Award on Sunday. Past winners introduced the nominees, and last year’s Oscar winner in the same category, Ke Huy Quan, presented the award to RDJ for his performance in Oppenheimer. But eagle-eyed netizens have noticed that it was Taylor Swift and Celine Dion moment all over.
RDJ is known for his charm, swag, and ability to sway everyone. The actor gave one of his best performances as Lewis Strauss in the Christopher Nolan-directed. The golden trio of RDJ, Cillian Murphy, and Nolan took home the night’s major awards, and the movie won seven trophies. However, netizens feel Downey ignored Quan on stage. The actor won the best actor in a supporting role last year for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The people adore Ke Huy Quan, and after his appearance as OB in the popular Marvel series Loki in Season 2, his fanbase has increased even more. After Robert Downey Jr’s name was announced and he went on stage at the Oscars 2024, Quan presented the trophy to him. But he seemingly ignored Quan and went for a handshake with Tim Robbins. The video clip went viral on social media platform X, and people are unhappy with RDJ’s behavior.
The internet was fuming over Robert Downey Jr’s alleged disrespectful behavior towards Ke Huy Quan and labeled the former as rude. One of the users wrote, “Cannot expect much from the least classy guy in Hollywood…”
