Quarantine Diaries: Man Locks Down Himself On Disney World’s Shuttered Island, Gets Arrested

With time quarantine is getting more difficult for people and they are finding new ways to deal with mental stress. A man has been arrested lately by the Florida authorities for trying to quarantine himself on a shuttered Disney World Island. LOL!
Interestingly, the 42-years-old man has been there since Monday and was planning to camp for a week.
According to nzherald, when Orange County Sheriff’s deputies found Richard McGuire on Disney Island on Thursday and asked him, he gave all the above information. In further investigation, the man told that he found the surroundings like a “tropical paradise and didn’t know that it was a restricted area despite there being numerous “no trespassing” signs.
He also said that he didn’t hear the deputies searching the private island for him on foot, by boat, and by air because he was asleep in a building. Weird! Isn’t it?
However, according to the arrest report, “Orange County Marine deputies on Bay Lake used a public address system to tell McGuire he was not allowed to be on the property, but he remained on the island, anyway”
According to a security representative of Disney, she saw McGuire using a company boat Thursday, noting that the area had several “no trespassing” signs and two closed gates. She asked the agency to press charges.
McGuire was later arrested on a trespassing charge and taken to jail without incident. No one was available to comment from his side at that time.
