Avengers: Endgame actor Chadwick Boseman became everyone’s favourite when he entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Fans love his portrayal as T’Challa aka Black Panther in MCU films. The 2017 film Black Panther is one of the biggest blockbusters of Marvel.
However, Chadwick Boseman was keen on doing some other role in the Marvel universe. He had no plans to play T’Challa or Black Panther but another powerful character, Drax – The Destroyer from Guardians of The Galaxy. The actor even auditioned for the Drax but didn’t make it.
On Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, Chadwick Boseman opened up about his audition for Drax. The Black Panther actor shared, “I didn’t think I was gonna get it. And it’s weird, too. It’s a testament to Marvel because… Ant-Man has a different tone and feel, and we didn’t know what that was gonna be. We didn’t know what Guardians was gonna be. So, I didn’t know what it was. I only had a few (script) pages at that time. So, it was just good to come in and play to see what they did with it.”
