Welcoming motherhood is absolutely enduring and Katy Perry is embracing her pregnancy in all its glory. For a first-time mother to be, the Roar singer is not at all worried about the physical pain that accompanies childbirth.
Katy is 9-months pregnant now, and she is due to deliver a baby girl any day now. The 35-year-old singer is keeping herself away from all the negative energies about childbirth.
According to reports in Hollywood Life, Katy Perry spoke openly about childbirth and said, “The pain will pass. It’s temporary.” Katy told the publication that she never felt the nagging need to become a mother as she was always too focused on her career for the past 10 years.
Even though Katy enjoyed being a rockstar, she did not feel complete and was at a place where she wanted something more expansive. The singer is now in a very happy space with her husband to be, actor Orlando Bloom.
The Daisies singer is so excited about the arrival of the baby that she has already started packing her hospital bag for when she goes into labor. Katy said she is “clutching the railing of the stairs harder,” even though she’s still been able to make it to the beach to relax, and even run a few brief errands with her huge baby belly.
Orlando too cannot keep calm and is more than excited to welcome his baby girl. Recently, he told Jimmy Fallon “I’m so excited to be…to have a little daddy’s girl. I hope she’s gonna love me as much as I love her. That daddy girl thing and that love of your life feeling I think is right ’round there.”
