The year 2020 continues to be the worst as we have lost another gem of a person from the world. A huge loss is coming in from the literature world as John Le Carré, the specialist of spy novels has breathed his last.

Yes, the spy novelist legend has passed away. He was 89 years old. He lost his life while battling pneumonia on 12th December in Cornwall, England. His death was confirmed in a statement by his publisher. Jonny Geller, CEO of The Curtis Brown Group and Carré’s agent said, “He was an undisputed giant of English literature. He defined the Cold War era and fearlessly spoke truth to power in the decades that followed. I have lost a mentor, an inspiration and most importantly, a friend. We will not see his like again.”

John Le Carré was popular for his works like The Spy Who Came In From The Cold And Tinker, Soldier, Spy and much more. For the unversed, before holding a pen as a writer, Le Carré had been a British intelligence officer and thus, articulated his thoughts with realism in his spy novels.
