Fans have eagerly been waiting for the return of King T’Challa aka Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther 2 to hit the screens after the first part released in 2018. But there have been reports about Chadwick Boseman being upset about several developments of part 2 which have further fuelled speculations about his presence in Black Panther 2.
While the Black Panther actor has been spotted with a drastic and scary weight loss recently, director Ryan Coogler has broken his silence on the sequel to the Marvel film. Coogler has said that “the team is taking their time with it to get it right.”
Furthermore, Herald Journalism has quoted the Black Panther director telling a source, “I’ve had a chance to make three feature films, each one of them had its particular type of pressure. In the process of it, it feels insurmountable each time. When it comes to making a sequel, I’ve never done it before — a sequel to something that I’ve directed myself. So I think there’s going to be a lot of pressure there, but what we’re going to try to do is focus on the work, like we always do. We’ll try to go step by step and try to quiet everything else around us, really focus on trying to make something that has some meaning.”

Most of the Black Panther cast like Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Daniel Kaluuya (W’Kabi) is expected to return in the sequel. However, the rumour mill has it that Chadwick is unhappy about his fees and the fact of a female Black Panther being introduced as a result of which the makers might proceed without him altogether.
Meanwhile released in 2018, Black Panther is considered to be the best film under the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. The film not only managed to impress the audiences but also floored the critics!
