The coronavirus pandemic has proved to be a big hurdle for different fields and pro-wrestling is no different. Recently, Impact Wrestling fired Women’s Champion, Tessa Blanchard from the company and stripped her from the reign.

Reportedly, Tessa Blanchard has quarantined herself in her Mexican residence. She hasn’t actively participated in the activities of Impact Wrestling. She was supposed to send the taped promos for June’s episodes but failed to do so. The promos were planned following her title defence at Slammiversary on July 18 against Eddie Edwards, Ace Austin, and Trey. She was also accused of racist remarks on several occasions, by her co-workers.

Considering Tessa Blanchard’s not-so-positive response, the company decided to terminate her contract and strip her from the championship. She won the gold at pay per view Hard to Kill, earlier this year.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Over The Top Wrestling promotion had stripped pro-wrestler David Starr from their Championship. He was also stripped from the Championship by Revolution Pro and TNT Extreme Wrestling. A woman named Victoria, with whom David Starr was in a relationship accused him of “Sexual, mental and emotional” abuse. Soon after the allegations, David denied that claims.

Revolution Pro tweeted about the same by writing, “The Southside Championship has been declared vacant. The future of the championship will be addressed in due course as we continue to prepare for our return to in-ring competition.”
