Youngistaan, despite being the better film of the lot from this Friday, failed to spark off a good opening. Earning nearly 1.10 crores on its 1st Friday and 1.40 crores on its 1st Saturday at the domestic box office, the film so far accumulated a total income of 2.50 crores.
Though Youngistaan fared best of the three, the overall collections are still dull and are not at all praiseworthy!
Jackky Bhagnani’s depiction of the young leader wasn’t his flattering best frankly as the story meanders around focusing unnecessarily on his personal life more than political. The presence of Farooque Sheikh is calming but doesn’t help the script too much either.
The obvious political flavor and similarities with the Gandhi scion in question probably was viewed as a propaganda as sorts by the audiences, which too can be a potent reason to explain the film’s dull collections.
