Which Will Be Deepika’s 2nd 100 crore Film – YJHD or Chennai Express?

With her first film this year, Race 2 securing a place in the 100 crore club and now Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani opening to a superb first day collections, the actress is making impressions beyond her style as well. Acquiring fame in terms mind blowing substantial acting, her character as the geeky Naina in YJHD is striking a chord with many in the audiences. Playing a nerd, who feels the brunt of insecurities and pressure, Deepika does justice to Naina.

2013 has been brilliant for her so far. Her January release Race 2 has still stuck on the box office charts as the year’s biggest hit so far and the only film that made it to the esteemed 100 crore club. Moreover on a personal front, her gleaming hilt came when Filmfare announced her as the ‘Most Fashionable Star’ of this era, comparing her with the iconic likes of Rekha and Zeenat Aman. Deepika is earning laurels for her grace and accurate sense of style. With Times naming her as the ‘Most Desirable Woman of 2012’, and ‘Grazia’ bestowing on her the pride of being their Cover Girl of the year, Deepika Padukone is grabbing the focus from all her contemporaries.

Trendsetter and gorgeous babe Deepika has often initiated newer fashion styles. With her new film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani carving a distinct screen space for itself already. Beating the opening collections of many biggest hits of 2013, it might clearly emerge as a shinning winner in the Bollywood race this year!

Though the film’s opening day collections were recorded at 19.45 crores by the conclusion minute of yesterday. The film by its first weekend will easily manage the 50 crore mark, going by the pre booking statuses at most multiplexes and single screens across India. With critics having words of praise for the lead pair’s sizzling chemistry, there are myriad reasons why the film will perform well. Moreover, in the next two weeks to come, there is barely a film big enough to topple down Dharma’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

However, if the film fails to reach the 100 crore mark, Deepika still has a chance at her second 100 crore film with her Eid release Chennai Express alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the focal point of this film will be SRK undoubtedly but Deepika being the female lead can be expected to make quite an impression in a starkly different avatar going by the film’s look.  Sporting a lungi-babe look, Deepika still manages to leave by a sizzling glint. In case Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani falls short of the 100 crore mark, which going by its wonderful pace it perhaps won’t, Deepika can easily lay back and find security in her upcoming release Chennai Express.

With her year, apparently so  well stacked  with accomplishment from all sides all through, 2013 is definitely turning out to be an overtly lucky time for Fashionista as well as a performance oriented actress Deepika Padukone.
