Join Us2 States managed to have a decent third week at the Domestic Box Office. The film on its third Sunday made a business of over 3 crores at the Box Office. Post this, the film stands with a mammoth total of 94.80 crores nett at the domestic box office.
The film in its 1st week made 60 crores and in its 2nd week made 24 crores. Considering that the third week has been steady, the film has come close to the coveted 100 crore club and will surely surpass this barrier by the end of this week. The only competition for this film being the Hollywood release, The Amazing Spiderman 2, both films have performed well considering their varied genres and target audience too.
With six films up for release this week such as Hawaa Hawaai and Kochadaiiyan which seem to have a good audience appeal, also other films such as Mastaram, Koylaanchal, Yeh Hai Bakrapur, Manjunath which are more on the lines of realistic cinema, there will be a reduction in the screen count for 2 States. Looking at this it seems difficult but we will have to wait and watch if 2 States can beat Salman Khan’s Jai Ho lifetime business of 111 crores.
