Tum Bin 2 Has A Low Day One, Needs Word Of Mouth To Catch Up Fast

Tum Bin 2 has opened to numbers way below expectations. Even in a decent case scenario, one would have looked at collections around the 1.5 crore mark. However, with just 1 crore* coming in, the numbers have clearly been hard to come by. In fact if one compares the film with some of the other musical romantic entertainers released in 2016, this is how the film stands:

Sanam Teri Kasam – 1.25 crore

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani – 1.03 crore

Tum Bin 2 – 1 crore*

Loveshhuda – 0.8 crore

Sanam Teri Kasam had some decent word of mouth going for it and though it didn’t quite set the Box Office on fire, it still made 9.15 crore in its final run with an absolute new starcast. Now Tum Bin 2 too has a new cast (except for the leading lady Neha Sharma) and the makers would be hoping that at the bare minimum, 10 crore is crossed in the final run.

Word of mouth from the select audience who have seen the film so far is decent, which gives this Anubhav Sinha directed affair some sort of a breather. All involved with the film would be closely monitoring the collections today and tomorrow to see which way is it eventually headed.
