Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran’s Tillu Square released today all across the country. The film was enjoying a good pre-release buzz, and as expected, it has started its day 1 on a solid note. While the opening is going to be much, much higher than the predecessor, here’s how much it amassed through advance booking for day 1.
Reception of Tillu Square
Directed by Malik Ram, the film is a sequel to the 2022 Telugu hit DJ Tillu. It was a huge success, thus leading to tremendous expectations from the current film. Released in theatres today, the sequel has opened to positive reviews from critics. Even the public reaction is favorable so far.
Day 1 advance booking
Tillu Square received a fabulous response in the advance booking. As expected, a majority of the chunk has come from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In the B and C centers, the film is going strong, and considering the Good Friday factor today, footfalls are impressive.
It is learned that Tillu Square amassed 3.55 crores gross through advance booking for day 1. Before the first show started, the film had sold over 2.32 lakh tickets across the country. Such pre-sales clearly indicate that a big opening is definitely on the cards.
Day 1 expectation
For those who don’t know, DJ Tillu had earned 5.40 crores net on its day. Speaking about Tillu Square, the film will go past this number like a cakewalk, and there’s a high chance of even hitting the 10 crore mark. After such a start, Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring in big numbers, thus fetching a solid total in the opening weekend.
