The Ranbir-Deepika starrer ‘Tamasha‘ faced a huge drop on its 2nd weekend due to the release of ‘Hate Story 3‘. The film collected 1.72 crore on Friday, 2.84 crores on Saturday and 3.21 crores on Sunday. The film now stands with the total collection of 61.23 crores at the domestic box office.
‘Tamasha‘ caters to multiplex audiences which is a niche market in the country whereas Hate Story 3 coming from the erotic thriller genre performed better at single screens too. Tamasha is expected to fold soon as next week the big releases of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani will hit theaters soon.
This Imtiaz Ali directorial venture was released on 27th November 2015 also stars Javed Sheikh and Piyush Mishra in supporting roles.
