Ajay Devgn has struck, and how. After taking a superb opening at the box office, the film continued to gain good collections right till Monday, which was also a holiday. Though collections did start sliding down on rest of the weekdays, the job was pretty much done for the film as it has already entered the super-hit zone and it was now time to add on moolah as bonus. As the week came to close, the Rohit Shetty directed film boasted of collections around 112 crore which is quite good.
Yes, given the superb collections in first four days, one expected that a higher number would be achieved. Still, if anyone would have stated on the opening Friday of Singham Returns that it would surpass the 100 crore mark by the end of first week, no one from cast or crew associated with the film would have complained!

Having said that, though earlier it had seemed that the film would go way past the 150 crore mark, the collections would now stay around the same mark.
Nonetheless, quite a few records have been created now for all involved with the film. With Singham Returns entering the 100 crore club with ease, the actor now has as many as five centuries against his name and is next only to Salman Khan who boasts of seven centuries. In the process, he has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan who has four against his name (though one of these is a double century). Rohit Shetty stays on to be the topmost director with five centuries (the second best is A.R. Murugadoss with two). Also, Kareena Kapoor is now at the top of century club as she joins Sonakshi Sinha with five centuries each.
