Shuddh Desi Romance with its novel concept and fresh ideas is having a good run at the box office. The film on its 1st Tuesday earned 3.25 crores and with that its total collections have snowballed to 31 crores at the domestic box office.
Though there is no dearth of such subtly bold concepts of contemporary romances in international cinema, the desi touch of the film is ensuring it earns well in the global circuits too. The film has made 7.50 crores in the international markets till Monday. In a matter of a few days, the film has already recovered its investment, and is garnering critical acclaim for the freshness of the ideas portrayed.
