Despite getting a wider release, Shahid Kapoor’s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero failed to pick up on Day 2 i.e. Saturday at the Box Office. Single screens were expected to do a better business than the multiplexes, given the film’s overall mass appeal. However, yesterday, PPNH witnessed a drop in the single screens, while a considerably better response was seen coming from multiplexes.
The final collections are still being compiled, however, as per early estimates PPNH made a business of around 7 crores on its 1st Saturday at the Domestic Box Office. This Rajkumar Santoshi directorial now stands at a domestic total of about 13 crores at the Box Office.
The collections are surely below average and the film might have to struggle a lot to come up with decent opening weekend numbers.
