Mission Mangal is coming closer to the 200 Crore Club. After its fourth weekend, the gap has been further reduced, what with 4.23 crores more been collected at the box office. That has resulted in the overall numbers turning out to be 197.37 crores.

Over the weekend, the Jagan Shakti directed film was steady, even though it was the third choice of the audiences. While class audiences were patronizing Chhichhore at the premium multiplexes, mass belts had Saaho giving them action entertainment. Mission Mangal still has benefitted from very good word of mouth as a result of which there is a segment of audiences that is still stepping in for the film.

Now it is a matter of covering of this bit of a shortfall that would take Mission Mangal to the 200 Crore Club. The only other film in the past to have come this close but not quite cover the distance has been Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger which ended its run at 198 crores. However, thankfully for Akshay Kumar, that wouldn’t really be the case with Mission Mangal as it should just about manage to go past the double century mark and bring in a little more as well.
