Independence Day has always been a huge money-spinner and this year it has been no different. Two big films Mission Mangal & Batla House released among which the former took an excellent opening and the latter also opened to a good response.

Akshay Kumar & Vidya Balan led Mission Mangal earned 29.16 crores on its first day and John Abraham led Batla House scored 15.55 crores.
