Mission Mangal & Batla House Box Office: Ek Tha Tiger, Even After 7 Years, Retains The Top Position In The Highest I-Day Openers

Independence Day has always been a huge money-spinner and this year it has been no different. Two big films Mission Mangal & Batla House released among which the former took an excellent opening and the latter also opened to a good response.

Akshay Kumar & Vidya Balan led Mission Mangal earned 29.16 crores on its first day and John Abraham led Batla House scored 15.55 crores.

But where do these movies stand when it comes to the overall I-Day openings so far? Let’s have a look-

So, Mission Mangal stands as the 3rd highest opening I-Day release and Batla House as 6th highest opener so far. It’s interesting to note that Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif starrer 2012 Super Hit Ek Tha Tiger still holds the No. 1 record even after 7 years.

Mission Mangal directed by Jagan Shakti stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi & Nithya Menen. Batla House is directed by Nikkhil Advani and stars John Abraham & Mrunal Thakur in lead.
