Does Madgaon Express have more surprises in store? If the fight that it’s putting up is any indication, then this could well turn out to be the case. While it stayed over 50 lakhs daily right through the weekdays of the week gone by, it seemed that there was still some spark in the film. However what’s happening in the third weekend is unreal as the collections are not just jumping but also jumping rather well.
This can well be seen from the fact that on Friday, the collection of movies went up to 0.71 crore all the way. While a jump is always welcome, it was also attributed to the fact that there was no new release this week, and hence, the collections went over Thursday’s numbers of 0.60 crore. However, what actually happened on Saturday is something that’s truly fantastic since the collections not only went past the 1 crore mark (which is quite good) but covered an even greater distance with 1.28 crore. Now that’s really good since this is a very substantial rise in collections and also sets the stage for further addition in numbers today.
The film has collected 22.30 crores, and today, it could well go past the 24 crores mark. There is a chance that by the time Eid releases Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, the film could have come quite close to the 25 crores milestone. For a small film like this, it would be a decent enough number, and who knows, with no new major releases for over a month then, Madgaon Express could well end up surprising all the more.
