The loose sequel to 1995’s classic starring Robin Williams, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has become a huge success for its makers. Since the critics had given positive views about the film and there was a lot of hype about the movie, Positive word of mouth the reason why it turned out to be a HIT.
Jumanji 2 has proved to be more resilient as it even overtook Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the daily box office soon after its release. While the first film was based on the board-game Jumanji, the sequel replaces it with a video-game, to perhaps reflect the times.

The movie has earned an amount 51.90 crores at the Indian box office. The film, backed by raving critical reviews and a massive global box office, had dwarfed the opening day figures of other big Hollywood releases of the year 2017 in India like Baywatch, XXX: Return of Xander Cage, Wonder Woman, and other releases.
