Judgementall Hai Kya had a fair first week at the box office as 31 crores came in. The film had taken an expected start but it was the jump on Saturday that gave it very good impetus. Post that when Sunday also was on the same lines as Saturday, the weekend turned out to be satisfactory. Of course, that also gave hopes that the weekdays would be super strong as well. However, the numbers between Monday and Thursday were just about decent, though there wasn’t any drastic fall.
It would now boil down to the hold that the film manages in the second weekend as that would be the deciding factor around how much further would it go past the 40 crores mark. There is quite some competition around it though since Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is expected to open quite well and Khaandaani Shafakhaana would take away some screens as well. Meanwhile, there are also films like The Lion King and Super 30 in the running.
