Gulaab Gang had a low start on its Day 1 i.e. 1st Friday at the Box Office, though a better start than this Friday’s other release, namely Queen and Total Siyapaa. The Madhuri Dixit-Juhi Chawla starrer had the widest release of the three films and hence was expected to take the biggest start too.

However, though it collected best out of the three releases, Gulaab Gang’s 1st Day Box Office business stands at merely 2.30 crores at the Domestic front. In fact, the opening day business of Gulaab Gang is lower than Madhuri’s last release Dedh Ishqiya.

The movie witnessed a very average occupancy from the morning shows itself. But given a higher screen count and a decent business in the single screens and mass circuits of UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and Gujarat, it just got saved! The film has an advantage of mass value and that factor will work in the favor!

The movie needs a good jump today and tomorrow to put up atleast double digit numbers in its 1st weekend at the Box Office.
