Dilwale collected on lower count during the weekdays and couldn’t really take much of an advantage of the Christmas holidays and then the pre-New Year vacation period. It stayed around the 2.5-3.5 crore range on the weekdays, which weren’t enough to push its way into the league of major grossers. As a result, the film now stands around the 135 crore mark, which is much lower than what one expected from the film. As a matter of fact, on its release on another day, one would have expected these numbers to come in the first week itself.
The manner in which the film has progressed, there isn’t much that the film would gain in the third week, which means 150 crore now appears to be out of reach. The film would now be aiming to touch the 145 crore mark at maximum and would be seen as an Average affair.

Still, it has managed to step into the Top-5 grossers of the year, though the kind of credentials it carries would have warranted that it is amongst the Top-3 at the least.
