There was doubt amongst film enthusiasts regarding Heath’s Joker act. No one believed that the actor would be able to topple the bar of performance set by Jack Nicholson’s Joker. But upon its release, the film and especially, Heath’s clown face received highly positive reviews. The portrayal went into the record books as one of the best villains ever.

The Dark Knight emerged as a posthumous blockbuster for Heath Ledger. The film went onto collect over $1 billion globally. But what’s more interesting was that the film crossed the domestic lifetime of its predecessor in mere first six days. Amazing, isn’t it?
