Dhoom 3 has started on a bombastic note in the overseas arena. Though Aamir Khan’s fan following is more content based, his fans were obviously intrigued by the choice of film like Dhoom 3. The film flew off to a majestic start in many key circuits including New Zealand and Australia.

The film opened to historic beginning in New Zealand by recording a whopping NZ$ 69,170 on its opening day at the box office. So far Chennai Express and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani held the position of being the best opening weekend box office performers in the circuit. However there is a good chance that Dhoom 3 will surpass the opening weekend of collections of both if it consistently earns in the weekend.

In Australia, the film fared even better as it collected A$ 157,207 on its first day at the box office. A similar scenario prevails regarding the collections in this circuit too. The film needs to show a rise in the numbers or remain consistent to beat Chennai Express’ opening weekend record of A$385,262.

The early trends are suggesting that Dhoom 3 has the scope and the caliber to beat the records set by Chennai Express in both the circuits. Though the detailed report from the other key circuits are still awaited, for now Dhoom 3 is off to a mind blowing start.
