Daawat-E-Ishq started off on an average note on its opening day. According to early estimates, the film collected approximately 3.75 crores at the domestic box office. The film starring Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles had quite a huge screen count and was expected to pick up especially in the mass belts.
The multiplexes had decent footfalls for this film although the single screens showed a poor performance. In terms of critics, the film has been rated average and it all depends on word of mouth for it to soar further. Apart from being little low on the pre-release buzz, the music of Daawat-E-Ishq too could not create much hype. The film is now dependent on a positive word of mouth to pick up over the weekend.
