This is yet another week when multiple films are releasing together. However, only one film is set to have a major release and also attract good audience footfalls – Teraa Surroor. The film releases almost nine years after Himesh Reshammiya burst into the scene as an actor with Aap Kaa SurroorThe Moviee.

The promo is good, the film looks grand and very importantly, the songs have turned out to be chartbusters as well. As for those who wondered Himesh’s pull as an actor, the success of his last release The Xposé made many go silence.

What has worked in favor of the Shawn Arranha film is the cost of Teraa Surroor that has been kept very controlled. Made at a budget of just 11 crs (COP 6.5cr + P&A 4.5 cr), the film is already in profits for its makers through sale of music, theatrical, satellite, video and internet rights.

Of course, for those who bought theatrical rights, there is money to be earned. That is seemingly assured through the buzz that Teraa Surroor has managed to earn. The film should take a decent start, especially at single screens in the interiors of the country and even with an average occupancy of 30%-40% on the opening day, game would be set.

Other releases of the week, 1982 – A Love Marriage, Murari The Mad Gentleman and Darling Don’t Cheat are arriving with zero publicity and would struggle to get even an all-India release.
