Kaala is all set to take a bumper start down South in the Tamil and Telugu version. However, for the Hindi version, it is going to be a wait and watch scenario. Reason being that Rajinikanth is not as huge a phenomenon in rest of the country as he is down South.
Moreover, the promotion too has been primarily limited to last 10 odd days which means a lot would eventually depend on the word of mouth.
This isn’t all as there is a lot of competition ahead for the film as well. New release Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom, as well as last week’s Veere Di Wedding, would continue to keep multiplexes engaged. As for single screens, there could well be better footfalls for the action masala affair which also features Nana Patekar as the antagonist.
