Box Office: Malang Is Fair On Saturday, Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior Rises Again

Malang stayed fair on Saturday as 2.50 crores* more came in. On Friday the film had collected 2.25 crores so these numbers are on the expected lines. The film is fighting off the battle with Love Aaj Kal which is catering to the same target audience, urban multiplex frequenting youth. That said, the hold over the weekdays had indicated a slightly better trending in the second weekend.

So far, the film stands at 44.40 crores* and the first major target for the Mohit Suri directed film is to hit the 50 crores mark. While that is in the process of happening, it would help gain certain respectability for the Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Khemu starrer.

Meanwhile one film which has gained respectability as well as audience love is Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior. On Saturday, the Om Raut directed film was good all over again as 1 crore* more was added to its total. That has pushed the overall collections to 271.58 crores* and while only one major milestone [Kabir Singh lifetime of 278.24 crores] is waiting to be surpassed, 2020 has gained from a blockbuster start with this Ajay Devgn starrer.
